Adolescent Gynecology & Counseling

Pediatric & Adolescent Gynecology

Gynecology is healthcare for woman, starting at any age. Childhood and adolescence are marked by many developmental milestones, both physically and cognitively. Adolescent girls, in particular, are confronted with numerous challenges and the decisions they make can have consequences on their health for the rest of their lives. We encourage girls to have their first gynecologic visit between the ages of 13 and 15 in order to facilitate a healthy transition into adulthood. The first visit may be just a conversation with Dr. Korostoff to any questions or health concerns.
